Survey

Portland Parks-BCA Survey:

By this time, many Buckman residents and businesses may have received a survey from Portland Parks by mail or other means regarding possible programming wishes at a future community center at Washington High School. This work is in conjunction with a federal grant that Portland Parks and Recreation earned with the support of the BCA and fellow neighborhood associations.  The grant allows for a process to work with a consultant and architectural team to design through initial stages, the future center planned for the northwest corner of the site.

Part of that process also involves supported public involvement, and the survey contained in the Summer 2009 newsletter (and available here)  is part of that effort.  What is different about the survey inserted in this newsletter is that it also has questions and space for responses from those most affected by any large-scale development at Washington High School. Besides what you might like to see there, what are your concerns and issues regarding future development?  What do you not want to see change? What do you want us to know?

Please fill out the survey and return to the address shown, and stay connected to the BCA during this process. You are always welcome at our meetings where these concerns and desires regarding the project are regularly discussed. We can be also reached directly via email buckman_comm2000@hotmail.com or (503) 236-2214.

If for some reason you need any extra Parks/BCA surveys, please contact Elizabeth Kennedy-Wong, Portland Parks and Recreation 503-823-5113 <Elizabeth.Kennedy-Wong@ci.portland.or.us>
